I hope you are doing well. Every year at the end of the school year I like to send out a re-cap of the young men’s successes for the school year at PSU. Please pass this e-mail along to any alumni and friends of the chapter. 

The Zeta Iota Chapter of Sigma Chi has 31 current active members going into Fall 2025. We lost 11 great young men to graduation in the spring of 2024. The chapter was very active within the University as well as the community. They initiated 12 new members, and the initiation ceremonies were excellent once again! The Brothers look forward to growing the chapter as well as improving the name of Sigma Chi at Pittsburg State University. We will have 11 Actives living in the Newly Renovated house this Fall. They will be having a few Rush events in July and August. I will email Alumni the details when they are planned. Please also try and attend one of the initiation ceremonies either this Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.

The young men had a great year Fall 2023/Spring 2024! They hosted their Mom’s Day on Saturday April 20thwith most of the mom’s attending! The Mom’s club will be helping plan Family Day in the Fall 2024. The Chapter still has their annual fundraiser for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. They hosted Derby Days on April 7th and raised over $20,000.00. Spring Formal was the weekend of April 26 & 27. They went to Grand Lake, OK . Pittsburg State had Greek Week April 12 thru April 18. 

Sigma Chi won the 4 awards for 2023/24 school year.

They did 300+ hours of service within the community. 

GPA is the best on campus among all fraternities. #1 Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Cumulative GPA for the spring semester was 3.201.

We will announce 2 winners of the John O’Rourke scholarship for 2024/25 school year. The total will be 2 @ $1250.00 This will be awarded at the July Monarchs game, date, and time to be announced in June 2024.
